To prepare his American accent, Holland was in schools in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
At this point, it seems impossible that someone does not know that Tom Holland is the current Spider-Man. The British actor released this Friday Spider-Man: Far from Home, his second solo tape after Homecoming, and has appeared in three other installments of the MCU (Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame).
Well, it seems that the actor still manages to go unnoticed on certain occasions. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly about the preparation process for this role, more specifically about making a boy from Queens being him English, Holland answered the following:
"I really went to an infiltrated New York school as a way of experimenting for the movie, and when I came out he [the director John Watts] told me 'How did it go?' and I responded 'First of all, I'm an idiot and I have no idea what they were talking about [laughs] and, secondly, it's incredibly diverse, especially in Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and those things, and I think it made a very good work to make the environment was authentic throughout the first film and this. "
There is no reference to the exact moment in which Holland infiltrated to prepare his role, although it was difficult for anyone to notice him taking into account that he had appeared in some important films such as The Impossible (2012) or In the heart of the sea (2015).
