| Memoir of Pain |
A risky bet, but very successful: the adaptation of the text of Marguerite Duras in which she recounts her painful expectation, her husband, Robert Antelme, having been arrested by the Nazis. Shared between her lover, Dionys Mascolo, and her seduction business with a gestapist, the author twists her suffering, while the liberation of Paris looms ...
It is with tact and a lot of class that Emmanuel Finkiel ("Travels", "I'm not a bastard") addresses this book, despite the procrastination of Marguerite Duras, who lies brazenly when she says she did not retouch this text of 1947. Mélanie Thierry is of a perfect accuracy in the role. Author's cinema, intelligent cinema - with brief puffs of intense emotion. In short, a movie we love.
